Apple clafoutis

4 apples
2 tbsp butter
cinnamon
2 eggs
1 egg yolk
½ vanilla pod
2 tbsp sugar
4 dl cooking cream
2 tbsp wheat or corn flour

Peel the apple and remove the core. Slice into sections and sauté in butter. Season with cinnamon and dish up into small serving dishes, which have at least 3 cm high edge.

Whip the eggs, yolk, cream and sugar together. Slice the vanilla pod in two, scrape out its inside with a knife and add into the foam. Finally, thicken the mixture with wheat or corn flour. Pour the cream and egg mixture into the dishes on top of the apples. Let the cream and egg mixture congeal in the oven at 175 degrees Celsius for about half an hour. Decorate with icing sugar and serve lukewarm with vanilla ice cream.
