Oranges filled with ice cream

For four

4 oranges
2 1/2 dl ice cream (tiger stripe or vanilla)
(1 egg white)
(3 tbsp sugar)

Wash the oranges well. Cut a lid off the oranges. Scoop out the flesh with a spoon and dice it. Mix the fruit with the soft ice cream and fill the peels with the mixture. Serve like this, or decorate with a meringue topping. For the meringue, beat the egg whites to a stiff foam and mix in the sugar. Top the filled oranges with the meringue mixture and then place them on an oven dish. Place the oranges in the oven, 250 degrees Celsius, until the meringue turns slightly golden (about 5 minutes). Serve immediately.
